ARRIVAL
One of the most memorable days of my life finally arrived as I embarked on a journey to Jakarta, Indonesia, a destination I had longed to explore for. The anticipation and excitement bubbling within me were palpable as I boarded the flight, ready to immerse myself in the rich culture and vibrant atmosphere of this enchanting city.
The path leading up to this moment was not without its trials and tribulations. From meticulous planning and navigating through unforeseen challenges to overcoming personal obstacles, the road to Jakarta had been filled with twists and turns. Yet, here I was, on the verge of experiencing the culmination of my dreams.

INTERNATIONAL TESOL CONFERENCE
The certificate I received after the event serves as a tangible acknowledgment of my participation and achievements during the occasion.
On my first day at Universitas Kristen Indonesia, I had the honor of participating in the International TESOL Conference UKI 70, which focused on the theme "Collaboration and Innovation in English Language and Literature Teaching." The conference provided valuable insights into various teaching methods and linguistic aspects. This global gathering brought together TESOL professionals to explore interdisciplinary themes related to pedagogy, materials, research, networking, and professional development. Moreover, This day signifies the establishment of friendships and the opportunity to get acquainted with the UKI students.

CULTURAL DAY
As the Cultural Day unfolded, we ventured to Taman Anggrek Indonesia Permai (TAIP) and Taman Mini, where I immersed myself in the captivating beauty and diversity of Indonesian culture, flora, and fauna, gaining a rich educational experience. Exploring Taman Mini felt like a journey through the various provinces of Indonesia, with detailed miniatures showcasing the unique aspects of each region. This immersive experience allowed me to absorb the rich cultures and traditions that define Indonesia. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to savor various Indonesian dishes and delicacies as we dined at a local restaurant.

FAMILY GATHERING & FUN WALK UKI 70 TAHUN
Universitas Kristen Indonesia celebrates its 70th anniversary by actively participating in the Car Free Day celebration and organizing a Family Gathering-Fun Walk at Monas. Taking part in this event was a privilege, offering a unique chance to strengthen the bonds within the UKI family. The occasion served as an opportunity to forge new connections in Indonesia, nurturing a sense of family with both the UKI International office and newfound friends from UKI who have become an integral part of my extended family.
