SEA TEACHERS PROFILE
Christian Laurence V. Casalme was born in the City of Manila, Philippines, in 2002. He finished his primary education in General Aloña Memorial Elementary High School then, he completed his junior high school at Tagaytay City Science National High School. He started joining different extra-curricular activities such as hosting, radio broadcasting, Sports like Table Tennis, storytelling, and joining different organizations or clubs. Meanwhile, he graduated Senior High School at Olivarez College Tagaytay with academic track, Humanities and Social Sciences, and was awarded with highest honor or Dr. Pablo R. Olivarez Excellence Awardee, Special Citation for Community Outreach, Special Citation for Gender and Developmental Research, and Best Club. He also received an award from a Research Fair 2019, Best in Gender and Developmental Research.
Apart from Mr. Casalme’s academic excellece, he exhibited his leadership skills as he was involved in different organizations and clubs which enhanced his capability to serve and lead people. During his secondary years, he was a consistent class officer, appointed auditor of the Book Lover’s Club and elected as the Grade 10 Representative of Language Enthusiast and Advocates (English Club). When he entered his senior high school, he became the class president and elected as the Vice President for Internal Affairs of the Student Body Organization for Academic Year 2019 – 2020 and a field reporter in the Official School Publication of Olivarez College Tagaytay – Senior High School, The Capella. As he set foot in his tertiary years, he continue his desire in serving and leading people, he became the secretary of the College of Education – Central Board of Students AY 2020 – 2021, Elected as the Vice President for Public Relations of the College of Education – Student Council AY 2021 – 2022, appointed as the Vice President for Audit in the same council for year 2022 and Vice President for Internal Affairs also in the same council for year 2023. He also became a member of different organizations from such as Rise for Education – CvSU Chapter, CvSU Silayan, and CvSU Kilos Na!. Thus, continuing his dedication as a student-leader, he was elected as a Senator for the highest student governing body of the Cavite State University – Main campus, Central Student Government for AY 2023 – 2024.
Furthermore, he has participated in numerous seminars and webinars. He participated in Kuwentong Bayan: Paglaladlad sa mga Naratibo ng Kasarian, Diskriminasyon, at Eksepsionalidad conducted by the Council of Student Organization Lasallian Educators Society, De La Salle University – Dasmariñas. He also took part in Webinar Series Part 1: CEdeterminadong Kabataan and Webinar Series Part 1.2: Christmas Holiday: Love Across the Borders. Moreover, he also attended a workshop where his skills are enhanced and his confidence is boosted, he took part in a workshop 1.0: Infusing Digital Leadership for Better Governance.
As well, he became one of the instructors in two topics of the said workshop. In addition, he showcased his talent and skills in speaking when he became the moderator of the CEd Congress 2021 with the theme “Cvsueños as Agents of Change Educational Discussions Amidst Pandemic”. He also join the Gender Sensitivity Training led by the University of the Philippines Open University.

At present, Mr. Casalme is taking the program Bachelor of Secondary Education - Major in English at Cavite State University – Don Severino delas Alas Campus, Indang, Cavite where he nurture his passion and skills as he will become an effective educator someday.
